Aviation is a new industry working on the up to the mark principle of precision. After 80’s it grows rapidly and became one of the most rapidly growing industry of the world. One of the most important aspects of the aviation is that there is no chance of mistakes in this field, so either one should be perfect in this field or required a proper training for entering in this field.
Low cost carriers are known as a backbone of the aviation industry. Recently there are more than 180 airlines which are low cost carriers. The biggest low cost carrier is Ryan Air which is based in Ireland and has the fleet size of 305. Low cost carriers provide a very low fare to the customers excluding different packages and maintaining their different standards. The people who are not able to pay high fares or wanted a low cost carrier for a relatively small distance can avail this service.  Different low cost carriers have different policies and rules and regulations through which they can provide the least good possible benefits to customers.  Let’s have a look on low cost carriers in brief.

Benefits of Low Cost Carriers

The only important and the attractive side of LCC’s are they have the lowest fares. They attract customers by providing low fares so that their jets don’t stay on the ground for a long time period. They wanted to keep the jet flying to make more revenue.  This is the only benefit of the low cost carriers.

Services not available in low cost carriers

Low cost carrier’s offers low fares by eliminating different services like refreshment, baggage, stay etc. Beside these services the seating arrangement in the low cost carriers are very congested to occupy more passengers. Except the limited baggage one should have pay for the extra baggage. In some airlines like Air Arabia, you can’t expect a glass of water for free. For this purpose you have to pay the price. You have to pay the price for your refreshment and other related stuff. There is no video entertainment, wifi or internet facility and any kind of premium cabins available in low cost carriers. Some low cost carriers use fuel hedging in order to prevent from buying the fuel when its prices increase in the future. LCC’s generally operate single type of plane which gives them a single type rated cabin crews and ground crews. Air Arabia has 32 Airbus A320 and they have ordered for more 28 of that type. Beside a very small fleet size they have more than 80 international destinations.
The first low cost carrier is southwest airlines which started its operations in 1971. Wikipedia has provided the list of low cost carriers so that we can find LCC’s easily and use their service when we need.
