How to use proxy in Firefox/IE to unblock a site

Pakistan including many countries have blocked some websites for publishing violating material on their websites. Youtube is one of the website which is blocked in Pakistan! India and Bangladesh has also blocked Youtube.

Beside the fact, these websites contain very useful materials and we can’t reach them. Most of the people use hotspot shield and other related software’s to unblock these websites.

In this tutorial we will learn an easy method which will help us to unblock websites if it is restricted in the country.

How to find free proxies?

1. Open Url www.proxy-list.org.
2. Fill the captcha with given letters and a complete proxy list of different countries will display.
3. An example of Proxy will be like this 172.177.12.112:8080

How to use proxy in Firefox/IE

1.     Open your firefox browser.
2.     Click on Tools>Options>Advanced>Network>Settings.
3.     Click on manual proxy configuration.
4.     In the space provided in front of the HTTP Proxy: enter the IP address (172.177.12.112)
5.     Next to the port enter the port number which is in this case is (8080).
6.     Check the box : Use this proxy server for all protocols.
7.     Click on the ok and you’re done. Have a look on screenshot.

Point to be noted 

Select the proxy which has the port of 8080, 3128 or 80. These three ports are standard and it will give you a good speed.

Select the proxy which has the up-time between 90 to 100.

How to remove the proxy from firefox/IE

1. Open firefox.
2. Go to Tools>Options>Advanced>Network>Settings.
3. Un-check the Manual proxy configuration and check the use system proxy settings.
